Field winding of large diameter FRP vessels is performed by very few FRP fabricators even though there are literally thousands of companies in the world which fabricate FRP tanks for corrosion applications. Field winding and assembly requires Specialized equipment and employees with specialized training, Field conditions are often much more difficult to function in than shop conditions, Handling and alignment of large parts is very much different from the procedures used for shop fabricated vessels.
